ProLogium Breaks New Ground at CES 2025 with Inorganic Battery Innovations

ProLogium Breakthroughs at CES 2025

At the CES 2025 held in Las Vegas, a key platform for advancements in sustainable transportation and smart technologies, ProLogium Technology unveiled its fourth-generation lithium-ceramic battery (LCB) system. The company’s presentation, titled "Battery Breakthroughs Redefining the EV Driving Experience," spotlighted significant innovations aimed at enhancing electric vehicle (EV) appeal and performance.

Transformative Innovations

ProLogium’s founder, Vincent Yang, highlighted five core advancements with this new battery system that directly tackle prevalent concerns in the EV market: total cost of ownership, range anxiety, and safety. The developments represent a culmination of years of research and a commitment to pioneering battery technology.

Fully Inorganic Electrolyte

One of the standout features of the fourth-generation battery is its fully inorganic electrolyte composition. This milestone removes all organic content from the battery’s configuration, which enhances multiple performance aspects including energy density, charging speed, and safety reliability under various environmental conditions. Yang announced, “Our goal is to begin pilot production by the end of 2025, bringing to life the next generation of battery technology.”

Key Partnerships and Future Goals

Yang's remarks were bolstered by insights from Dr. Thomas Hülshorst, FEV Global's Vice President, who joined him on stage. They discussed the future trajectory of EVs, emphasizing that true innovation will start with core chemistry advancements. The company’s ambitious target is to exceed an energy density of 450Wh/kg and a volume density of 1000Wh/L by 2026.

Addressing EV Barriers

ProLogium’s advancements are designed to address key EV adoption barriers highlighted in a McKinsey report. Here’s how they aim to resolve these challenges:
  • - Extended Range: Thanks to exceptional energy density, the new battery achieves energy densities averaging 380Wh/kg and 860–900Wh/L, significantly boosting the driving range of electric vehicles.
  • - Fast Charging Capabilities: The new battery system enables charging times of just four minutes for a 60% charge and six minutes for 80%, mimicking the ease and speed of traditional fuel refueling.
  • - Cold-Weather Reliability: ProLogium’s battery performs with 2–3 times more ionic conductivity than liquid batteries when temperatures drop, ensuring reliable range even in frigid conditions.
  • - Safety First: By eliminating combustible gases, the fully inorganic electrolyte reduces fire risks, with advanced safety mechanisms safeguarding against thermal runaway scenarios.
  • - Efficient Thermal Management: The battery includes technology to rapidly dissipate heat, maintaining optimal performance even under intense conditions.

Building a Sustainable Ecosystem

Yang emphasized that building trust in battery technology requires not only innovation but also profitability in charging station operations. He stated, “For the EV market to prosper sustainably, consumers must feel confident in the technology.” Dr. Hülshorst echoed these sentiments, pointing out that ProLogium’s high-energy-density battery packs serve as a gateway to lighter, more compact battery designs, fostering efficiency in EV manufacturing.

ProLogium's dedication to sustainability transcends product innovation. The company has implemented a circular system that recovers over 80% of materials, which enhances the long-term value for both second-hand vehicles and manufacturers.

A Vision for the Future

As ProLogium showcased its latest advancements at CES, Yang concluded by reinforcing the idea that electric vehicles should symbolize a brighter, improved future. He envisions a world where every step in the process—from manufacturing to recycling—adds value and promotes the global goal of achieving net-zero emissions.

With continued innovation and a focus on creating a comprehensive ecosystem that benefits all stakeholders, ProLogium is setting the stage for a transformative era in electric mobility and energy storage solutions.
