Discover Ruka Kikuchi's Unique Brass Creations at CIBONE CASE

Ruka Kikuchi's Solo Exhibition: Impromptu at CIBONE

From July 18 to August 2, 2026, CIBONE CASE in Ginza will host a solo exhibition titled "Impromptu," featuring the intricate brass creations of artist Ruka Kikuchi, founder of the brand Lue. This exhibition not only showcases her unique craftsmanship but also reflects her journey in the world of art and design, drawing inspiration from her roots.

A Journey Through Craftsmanship

Ruka Kikuchi, born in Okayama in 1983, began her craft journey at the tender age of 17 under the guidance of her father, creating accessories. In 2006, she transitioned to crafting cutlery, and by 2010, she established her own brand, Lue. This exhibition highlights the evolution of her work, alongside the deep-seated desire to leave her mark through her creations.

Kikuchi's pieces are created using an etching technique that imbues her designs with fluid lines and shapes, which stem from a heritage of inherited skills rather than aimless decoration. The essence of her creations embodies a sense of belonging to nature—a reflection of both her craftsmanship and her humble wish to resonate with the environment surrounding us. Each piece not only serves a functional purpose but also brings a new perspective to everyday life.
