Okayama University's 5th Seminar on Asset Management



On November 28, 2025, Okayama University, led by President Yoshitomo Nasu, organized the 5th Seminar on Asset Management and Inheritance at the Junko Fukutake Hall, located at the Shikata Campus. This informative seminar was sponsored by the university's Academic Foundation Office, in collaboration with Chugoku Bank, which has agreements in place for donations through bequests.

The seminar was structured into two informative sessions. The first session featured Keiji Terasawa from Chugoku Securities’ Wealth Management Department, who addressed the topic: "Life Events and Starting Asset Management." Terasawa’s discussion encompassed not only personal experiences but also provided a comprehensive overview of various life events and the financial requirements associated with them. He elaborated on key points of asset management, taking into account the current market landscape to guide participants effectively.

In the second session, Yukihiro Yasumoto, a Financial Advisor at Chugoku Bank Consulting Sales Department, presented on: "Ensuring Tomorrow's Peace of Mind – Useful Knowledge on Inheritance and Wills." Yasumoto covered fundamental aspects related to the inheritance of assets, the necessary processes involved, and the scope of heirs. His segment also addressed strategies for dealing with inheritance through wills, making complex information accessible to all attendees.

Throughout the seminar, participants engaged actively, demonstrating a keen interest in acquiring greater knowledge about asset management and inheritance topics. The Academic Foundation Office aims to continue offering valuable seminars that cater to the needs of the community.
