Cogent Security Launches Its Advanced VR-1.1 Model for Enhanced Cybersecurity Solutions
Cogent Security Launches the Innovative VR-1.1 Model
In a significant advancement for cybersecurity, Cogent Security has unveiled its latest model, VR-1.1, designed to combat the rapid increase of digital vulnerabilities. The model has demonstrated prowess by outperforming established AI agents in its ability to repair vulnerabilities in code, marking a major step forward in the realm of automated cybersecurity solutions.
The Achievement of VR-1.1
Released on November 3, 2026, VR-1.1 has set a new benchmark on LiveCVEBench, an external evaluation platform that assesses AI capabilities in fixing recently disclosed Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs). This latest model successfully repaired 57.9% of the 190 tasks presented, already outclassing its closest competitors, Claude Code and Codex, which managed to fix merely 45.3% of the same tasks. This is particularly noteworthy given the surge in reported vulnerabilities, which, due to increased AI detection capabilities, have grown fivefold since early this year.
Vineet Edupuganti, Co-founder and CEO of Cogent Security, emphasizes the pressing need for solutions like VR-1.1.
