Cardinal Health Expands with New Distribution Center in Fort Worth

Occupying a substantial area of 340,000 square feet, the new distribution center aims to consolidate the operations of two existing warehouses into one efficiently designed space. Once operational, the facility is projected to ship an impressive average of 10,000 packages daily, delivering vital medical necessities directly to patients' homes across the country.

Featuring 74 robots, an extensive 1,500-foot-long automated conveyor system, and four state-of-the-art automated box-making machines capable of creating 500 custom boxes per hour, the facility is set to redefine productivity while minimizing waste.

Additionally, the distribution center will integrate a cloud-based warehouse management system that utilizes artificial intelligence to ensure adaptability and resilience in managing inventory fluctuations. This system is designed to unify all aspects of distribution operations, streamlining demand, labor management, robotics, and transport within a singular platform.
