Japanese Company Donates Fire Suppression Agent to Local Fire Department

Donation of GreenWet Fire Suppressant to Local Fire Authority

Recently, the ongoing issue of forest fires in Japan prompted a company to take action to support affected regions. On December 8, 2025, a significant forest fire broke out in Mount Myogi, leading to increased efforts in fire management and safety across the country.

In response to these critical events, the company decided to make a generous contribution to the Tomioka-Canra Fire Department. On December 11, 2025, they donated a specialized firefighting agent known as GreenWet. This addition aims to bolster the resources available to fire brigades fighting A-class fires, which include forest, building, and other material fires.

What is GreenWet?

GreenWet is a unique fire suppression agent designed to be diluted to a 0.5% solution before use. Firefighters can mix it with either water or seawater to increase its effectiveness. The product works by significantly lowering the surface tension of water, allowing it to penetrate combustible materials, such as wood and paper, more effectively than water alone. The result is a more powerful firefighting capability when combating fires that endanger forests and structures alike.

Moreover, an essential aspect of GreenWet is its environmental safety. Unlike many products on the market, GreenWet does not contain organic fluorinated compounds, which are increasingly scrutinized due to their potential environmental hazards. The agent also complies with general discharge standards set by the Water Pollution Prevention Law, ensuring that it poses minimal risk to water quality during and after use.

Commitment to Safety and Support

The company's commitment to enhancing fire safety demonstrates its dedication to community welfare and environmental stewardship. As a professional organization in the field of firefighting, they aim to provide reliable solutions to ensure the safety and security of society against fire hazards.

The donation consisted of 10 cans of the GreenWet agent, amounting to a total of 200 liters. This quantity will serve as a valuable asset for the Tomioka-Canra Fire Department, especially during emergencies where effective fire suppression techniques are necessary to combat the devastating impacts of forest fires.

In recognition of this generous donation, the fire department awarded the company with a certificate of appreciation, marking the importance of collaboration in dealing with fire emergencies.

Looking Ahead

As future challenges regarding forest fires continue to arise, the company pledges to adapt and provide further support to firefighting agencies. The donation is just one part of their broader strategy to ensure communities feel safe and prepared in the face of natural disasters.
