Red Bull Dance Your Style Japan Finals

On July 5th, 2026, the much-anticipated Red Bull Dance Your Style National Final Japan will take place at Roppongi Hills Arena in Tokyo. This exciting dance battle event features dancers competing in an improvisational format to music spun by DJs, where the audience will judge who keeps the energy high and secures victory.

National Final Details

The competition will feature 16 dancers, including 4 winners from the recent Qualifier Tokyo held on May 24, and 12 invitees known as Wild Cards. Dancers will showcase various styles including hip-hop, popping, and locking, all aiming for the title of Japan's best and a chance to compete at the Red Bull Dance Your Style World Final Pre Final in Zurich, Switzerland, this coming October.

They will face off against SHINICHI, a hip-hop legend, and HIRO, a super-dancer known for his multiple titles in the house dance genre, in a unique 2-on-2 battle. This is a special one-time event that highlights their extraordinary talent and distinct styles.

About Red Bull Dance Your Style

This innovative street dance event is all about showcasing dancers' skills in an unpredictable environment, where music can range from the latest global hits to classic beats. Contestants must combine their unique dance styles with musical sensibility to captivate the audience and earn votes.

Rules

Dancers engage in 1-on-1 All-style battles against the DJ's music under a tournament format with 16 competitors. Each battle consists of 2 moves, while the finals require 3 moves. Based on criteria like rhythm, skill, creativity, and charisma, the audience judges performances using red and blue cards to decide the winner. The dancer with the most votes will be crowned champion, making for a thrilling experience.
