Key Features of the Indigo Semiconductor Laser


The new indigo semiconductor laser boasts an impressive optical output power of 1.7 W, emitting light at a wavelength of 420 nm. This wavelength is particularly close to the g line of mercury lamps, offering a significant advantage in providing effective alternatives. Notably, the laser comes in a compact CAN TO-56 package, making it easier to integrate into smaller devices compared to bulky mercury lamps.

NTCJ's expertise extends over 40 years of experience, having supplied more than 3 billion semiconductor lasers for optical disks. This extensive background supports the design and production of lasers that meet market needs efficiently. The new indigo laser features patented optical designs and heat dissipation technologies that enhance both efficiency and long-term reliability. Furthermore, by adjusting the output power ratio of each laser according to specific applications, designers can achieve optical configurations that were not feasible with conventional mercury lamps.
