Unveiling 'THE STAR 2025' Japan Round at VSING Shibuya

In an exhilarating announcement, Dynamo Amusement Co., Ltd. has revealed that it will host the Japan Round of the prestigious global competition, 'THE STAR 2025', at VSING Shibuya, located in the heart of Shibuya Center Street. This competition is designed to select the top two contestants who will represent Japan in the world finals being held in Hong Kong.

'Very exciting things are happening here,' let’s delve into the details! The concept behind 'THE STAR' combines professional judging with VSING's unique cheering system, assessing not just singing ability but the overall performance. This worldwide initiative aims to transform amateur singers into shining stars. The winners will be awarded an impressive HKD $10,000, along with other exciting perks including an official VSING theme song, filming opportunities, and participation in international events.

The Japan Round will not only provide a platform for showcasing talent but also support competitors through industry expert judges who will evaluate performances comprehensively, incorporating VSING’s innovative cheering system. Additionally, sponsors like Apra will lend their expertise in helping each participant maximize their artistic potential through their services like 'Music Planet' and 'Voice Planet', which inspire and actualize individuals’ vocal ambitions.

Competition Structure

The competition will unfold in a two-phase evaluation process:

1. Preliminary Rounds: Starting from November 21, 2025, contestants will submit entries through an online form, with successful applicants progressing to the second phase. This round entails live performances either at VSING Shibuya or online via Music Planet+.

2. Final Rounds: On January 11, 2026, the top 16 performers advancing from the preliminary rounds will compete in a live event at VSING Shibuya. From this event, 8 contestants will be selected based on judges' evaluations and audience cheers.

The climax of the competition will occur on January 12, 2026, when the remaining 8 contestants perform once more at VSING Shibuya to secure one of the two spots for the world finals.

The global finals will take place on February 7 and 8, 2026, at the VSING CENTRAL flagship store in Hong Kong.

VSING is not just a karaoke venue, but rather a dynamic space offering an engaging live performance experience. Opened as the first VSING outlet in Japan this summer, it incorporates elements that elevate singing to a community event—allowing performances, audience cheering, and a vibrant atmosphere similar to a live concert.
