Trinasolar's Vertex N Shield Module Achieves Major Recognition

In a significant achievement for solar technology, Trinasolar recently announced that its Vertex N Shield module has been awarded the PV Module Comprehensive Reliability Award at the 11th TÜV Rheinland “All Quality Matters” Solar ESS Congress 2025. This recognition highlights the exceptional performance and reliability of the Vertex N Shield, confirming its position as a leader in the solar power industry.

Exceptional Reliability Standards

TÜV Rheinland evaluated various modules against a rigorous set of criteria, which included thermal cycling, mechanical stress, UV exposure, damp heat, and potential-induced degradation (PID). The Vertex N Shield module not only excelled in each category but also scored an impressive 94, making it the top performer among its peers. This accomplishment further substantiates Trinasolar's commitment to long-lasting and reliable solar solutions.

The Vertex N Shield module incorporates advanced i-TOPCon technology, setting it apart from conventional solar modules. Notably, the glass used in this product is 25% thicker, providing a greater resistance to energy impacts, with an ability to withstand hailstones up to 75mm at a 60° angle, as certified by RETC (Renewable Energy Test Center). Furthermore, the innovative frame design enhances its load-bearing capacity, contributing to increased stability and reliability—crucial factors for safeguarding PV power plant investments.

Previously, the high reliability of this module was recognized by RETC when it earned the title of “High Achiever” in several categories, further cementing its credibility in the solar sector.

The Vertex N Shield module is a key product in Trinasolar's portfolio of TOPCon modules, forming the foundation of the company’s Shield extreme climate solution launched in March 2025.
