UnionPay International has officially kicked off its 2025 Global Summer Campaign, bringing exciting benefits for international travelers as the peak holiday season approaches. This vibrant campaign provides UnionPay cardholders with a multitude of exclusive offers across more than 100,000 partner merchants situated in 25 popular travel destinations worldwide.

Travelers can take advantage of a variety of benefits, including merchant discounts, advantageous exchange rates, and bank-backed cashback, all specifically designed to enhance the experiences of global travelers when shopping, dining, and exploring.

The current campaign reflects a robust recovery in global travel, showcasing a significant increase in bookings to sought-after destinations such as Japan, South Korea, Italy, France, and the United Kingdom. In response, UnionPay has significantly expanded its global merchant network, collaborating with retail outlets in 35 international airports and 60 major shopping districts to provide cardholders with unique summer privileges.

UnionPay is also working alongside the leading duty-free groups, renowned department stores, and outlet malls to offer exclusive markdowns on popular global brands. Notably, cardholders will receive substantial discounts at over 3,500 local dining establishments, cafés, and seafood markets, with attractive deals available through platforms such as Dianping and Uber Eats.

For families traveling during the school holiday period, UnionPay has rolled out themed offers in partnership with eight globally renowned attractions. At venues like Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore and on the Royal Caribbean Spectrum of the Seas cruise ship, UnionPay users who meet specific spending thresholds can receive cashback or instant discounts.

Furthermore, the campaign includes perks for flights and transportation. UnionPay cardholders will find exclusive deals when booking travel with numerous international airlines, including Cathay Pacific, Singapore Airlines, Turkish Airlines, and Air China. Not just flights, travelers can also unlock UnionPay discounts when recharging transit cards in Japan and Hong Kong SAR, or while utilizing J-Coin Pay in Japan and ZeroPay in Korea, with savings reaching up to 10%.

In its continued effort to boost global retail through travel savings, UnionPay is also facilitating favorable exchange rates for Chinese travelers in over 30 destinations, including regions in Southeast Asia, Japan, South Korea, Europe, and the Middle East. Cardholders who register through the UnionPay app and meet specified spending requirements can qualify for upgraded rates. Additionally, 16 partner banks across mainland China, including ICBC, ABC, BOC, CCB, and CMB, are offering cashback up to 12% on cross-border transactions, significantly encouraging foot traffic for global merchants.

For visitors coming to China, over 40 international banks now issue the UnionPay SplendorPlus Card, providing tailor-made cashback deals and promotional offers aimed at enhancing spending experiences during their time in China.
