Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants Unveils Extended 2025 List for 51-100 Rankings
Celebrating Latin America's Culinary Diversity
On November 18, 2025, Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants announced the extended list of restaurants ranked from No. 51 to No. 100. This unveiling, conducted by 50 Best, highlights the vibrant culinary scene across the region, encompassing a variety of dining experiences. The rankings were compiled based on the votes of 300 industry experts from various backgrounds who came together to recognize the best of Latin America’s gastronomy.
This year's list includes 13 new entries from 11 cities, showcasing the growth and diversity of dining options available. Among these, Shizen from Lima proudly debuts at No. 62, marking a significant achievement in the restaurant’s young history. São Paulo leads the rankings with the highest representation, featuring six restaurants, including five returning establishments, and a new addition, Cepa, which secured the No. 73 spot.
In addition to São Paulo, other notable cities like Buenos Aires, Mexico City, Panama, and Santiago contributed four new restaurants each. Notably, Pujol from Mexico City retained its rank at No. 51, further demonstrating its revered status. Following closely is Origem from Salvador at No. 52, exemplifying the rich flavors and culinary techniques emblematic of the region.
Other significant newcomers include Umi (No. 72) and Caleta (No. 91) from Panama City, Oseille (No. 65) from Rio de Janeiro, and Em (No. 71) again from Mexico City. Increasing the variety, chefs and restaurant owners from around the continent are now being celebrated for their remarkable contributions.
Additionally, La Casa Bistró in Caracas took the No. 89 position, while Selma in Bogotá and Fukasawa in Santiago came in at Nos. 96 and 100, respectively. Another crucial highlight is El Papagayo from Córdoba, capturing the No. 78 position, as well as Ana from Guatemala City entering the list at No. 94. Notably, Ana received the American Express One To Watch Award for its innovation and dedication to captivating culinary experiences.
