This event is designed to support corporate teams in developing new business ideas that align with sustainable practices.

Contest Overview

Addlight aims to guide participants through a comprehensive process that includes video learning resources for ideation and business modeling, coupled with mentorship from experienced professionals. Teams will be encouraged to refine their business concepts as they work towards the pitch competition.

The competition promises to be rewarding, with prize money allocated for the top teams to aid in creating viable business plans. Additionally, the top three teams will have the unique opportunity to engage in a business incubation program facilitated by Inspired. Lab, aiming for practical project realization.

Benefits of Participation

1. Access to expert-led video learning resources on business development across various sections.
2. One-hour online mentorship sessions with Addlight’s expert mentors for each team, as needed.
3. Participation in a 0.5-day Design Thinking program provided by Inspired. Lab.
4. Opportunities to receive feedback from external judges.
5. A total budget of 3 million yen dedicated to business development and short-term incubation plans for the top three teams.
6. Publication of selected business ideas in Addlight’s media.

Mentoring and Training

Mentorship sessions will be conducted online, allowing teams to receive personalized guidance. While participation in the mentorship will not affect selection outcomes, it is highly encouraged. The Design Thinking program may be held offline, subject to participant interest.

Eligibility Requirements for Leaper’s Intra Pitch #1

1. Who can apply: The contest is open to any individual involved in promoting new business initiatives within their organization. This includes those with experience in internal business idea contests or individuals eager to explore new ideas in the GX field but have not yet taken action.
Note: A maximum of 10 teams (or individuals) can register, with a limit of two entries per company. Should interest exceed this, applications will be evaluated based on internal selection criteria.

2. GX Theme: The business ideas should center around themes related to Green Transformation (GX), tackling social issues while leveraging the strengths of the organization to create sustainable value. This includes topics like decarbonization, circular economy, and renewable energy.

3. Activity Process Before Selection: Until the Demo Day on September 24th, teams will actively enhance their ideas, with opportunities to participate in Design Thinking training and access to detailed video content for learning business development skills. Mentorship sessions (one per team for one hour) will also be available.

4. Demo Day Presentation: Teams will have five minutes to pitch their ideas, covering the business concept, product or service, business model, team structure, and unique strengths or advantages.

5. Judging Criteria: The evaluation will be based on three key aspects: Social Impact (does it promise effective societal influence?), Business Viability (is it sustainable as a business?), and Uniqueness (does it utilize unique assets and knowledge?).
