Okinawa Nipponkanzai Participates in a Health Promotion Event

Okinawa Nipponkanzai, a group company of Nipponkanzai Holdings, recently took part in a walking event organized by Okinawa Prefecture. This event marks our first involvement in local initiatives focusing on health and wellness. The participation aligns with Okinawa’s efforts to instill exercise habits among its residents, benefiting both the community and our employees.

Overview of the ReBOOT OKINAWA Walk Challenge 2025

The Okinawa Prefectural Government is implementing an effective scheme to encourage the acquisition and establishment of exercise habits amongst its citizens. This project is known as the “ReBOOT OKINAWA Walk Challenge 2025,” and the first stage of this event recently concluded. The challenge aims to raise awareness about physical activity through a fun and interactive format.

Participation and Achievements

In the previous edition of the event, 3,033 participants engaged, representing 63 businesses and organizations across the prefecture. This year, encouraged by our “Uchina Health Management Declaration” made in August 2025, six of our employees participated in the first stage of the challenge under the team category. We are proud to report that we ranked 42nd among 125 teams, achieving an average of 6,602 steps per day.

Feedback from our participants has been overwhelmingly positive. Many reported enjoying the gamified experience provided by the app, which displayed rankings and motivated them to keep moving. Employees who previously lacked a walking routine found this opportunity valuable, expressing excitement about their newfound interest in step tracking.
