Summit Radiology Partners with AbbaDox for Enhanced Workflow

In a significant move to bolster its service capabilities, Summit Radiology, a prominent teleradiology practice located in northeast Indiana, has secured a partnership with AbbaDox, a leader in radiology workflow innovations. This collaboration aims to streamline imaging and reporting workflows across Summit's extensive network, which covers over 50 locations nationwide.

AbbaDox Solutions

AbbaDox specializes in cloud-native platform solutions designed to optimize the workflow of radiology practices, delivering efficient and cost-effective solutions. With this agreement, Summit will implement AbbaDox’s specialized Cloud Fax and Referring Physician Portal, which promises consistent and efficient report distribution, even amid potential disruptions to HL7 interfaces. This suite is set to be fully operational by the spring of 2025, paving the way for a streamlined process that prioritizes patient care.

According to Adam Dagan, VP of Sales at AbbaDox, the key to ensuring uninterrupted clinical workflows is critical for enhancing patient care. He stated, “With our solution, Summit Radiology will not only have seamless final report distribution but also the flexibility to manage potential workflow disruptions effectively.”

Integration with Merge Imaging

To complement its partnership with AbbaDox, Summit Radiology has also acquired imaging solutions from Merge, a respected firm with over 30 years of expertise in medical imaging technologies. The integration of Merge PACS, VNA, and Workflow Orchestrator into the systems will help support Summit’s clinicians and enhance their operational capacity to handle a busy imaging workload across multiple locations.
