Holy Cross Cemetery to Host Spring Open House on April 12-13 in North Arlington for Community Engagement

Spring Open House at Holy Cross Cemetery

Holy Cross Cemetery and Mausoleum, located in the serene North Arlington, New Jersey, will open its doors to the public for a special Spring Open House Weekend from April 12 to 13, 2025. This initiative by the Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese of Newark serves as a golden opportunity for families to explore the serene grounds, learn about memorialization options, and meet with caring planning advisors.

Event Details

The Open House will be held on Saturday and Sunday, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Families are encouraged to participate and take advantage of exclusive offers available only during this event, including special financing plans that provide unique savings as prices are set to increase after April 14.

A Chance to Learn and Reflect

This two-day event invites attendees to immerse themselves in a tranquil environment while exploring the sacred grounds of Holy Cross Cemetery. Experienced commemoration planning advisors will be present to assist families in making thoughtful arrangements, addressing any inquiries regarding burial, cremation, and memorial options. Particularly notable is the opportunity for families to secure preferred locations at current pricing before the anticipated increase set for April 28.

The New Developments

During this event, guests will also be able to preview two extraordinary mausoleum projects currently under construction, including the Chapel Mausoleum of Our Lady. This chapel boasts exquisite stained glass windows and an original mosaic centerpiece honoring the Assumption of Mary. Another exciting addition, the outdoor mausoleum dedicated to the Holy Spirit, features fully covered skylights and beautifully designed artistic elements for a tranquil experience.

Why Plan Ahead?

Andrew Schafer, the Executive Director of Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese of Newark, emphasizes the importance of early planning. He notes, "By planning ahead, families can alleviate future uncertainties and ensure they get the best value available today. Our goal is to provide a supportive environment that emphasizes dignity, compassion, and thoughtful preparation."

Moreover, families will find that a variety of affordable cremation and burial options are being introduced to make dignified memorialization accessible to all.
