Mars Celebrates Summerween with the Topeka Community

On June 26, 2025, Mars, the renowned candy manufacturer, will host a lively Summerween celebration in Topeka, Kansas, welcoming the local community to celebrate the joy of Halloween during the summer months. This festive event is aimed at uniting the community and showcasing the beloved snacks produced at the Mars Halloween Headquarters located in Topeka.

Summerween, a concept that gained traction through social media, offers fans of Halloween a chance to revel in the spirit of the holiday even when the temperatures soar. The event is set to take place at Redbud Park, starting at 6 PM CDT, with the promise of a magical evening filled with sweet treats, music, and camaraderie.

Mars has solidified its presence in Topeka since the establishment of its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in 2014. This expansive site covers over 550,000 square feet and employs approximately 600 dedicated associates who work tirelessly to produce some of the most popular candy brands loved by many, including TWIX®, M&M'S® Peanut, and SNICKERS®. By hosting events like Summerween, Mars not only connects with the community but also fosters local pride and engagement.

Brian Pardo, the Site Director at Mars Wrigley Topeka, highlighted the mission of the company: "Mars is in the business of inspiring moments of everyday happiness, and it's been an honor to help create these moments here in Topeka. Of course, we couldn't be the official Halloween Headquarters without our incredible Associates who make our beloved Mars treats."

In partnership with the North Topeka Arts and Entertainment District (NOTO) and GO Topeka, Mars aims to create a vibrant atmosphere that celebrates community spirit. Staci Schnacker, the Arts Administrator for NOTO, shared her excitement about the event: "NOTO is delighted to partner with Mars and GO Topeka to bring the spirit of Summerween to life in our vibrant arts district. Our community thrives on creativity and celebration, and this event is a perfect opportunity to showcase the unique charm of NOTO."

Molly Howey, the President of GO Topeka, added to the enthusiasm: "We are thrilled to celebrate Topeka as the home of Mars Halloween Headquarters for a second year in a row. Topeka has so much to offer, and along with NOTO and Mars, we're excited to bring the community together for a hauntingly fun and festive celebration."

The Summerween event promises to be a delightful amalgamation of community engagement and Halloween festivities, making it a not-to-be-missed occasion for families, friends, and fans of all ages. Local residents are encouraged to participate and enjoy the wide array of Mars treats, live music, and an environment that reflects the creative spirit of Topeka.

As the sun sets on June 26, attendees will have the opportunity to experience the special magic that comes from coming together as a community, celebrating both the joy of candy and the festivities of Summerween.
