On July 20, 2025, UnionPay International kicked off its exciting global summer campaign aimed at overseas travelers during the peak vacation season. This initiative welcomes UnionPay cardholders with a plethora of special deals across more than 100,000 partnering merchants in 25 favored destinations. In response, UnionPay has expanded its global merchant network and partnered with retailers at 35 international airports and in 60 major shopping districts to offer exclusive summer advantages to cardholders.

At venues such as Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore and the Royal Caribbean Spectrum of the Seas cruise ship, UnionPay users can receive cashback or instant discounts when their spending reaches specified thresholds.
The campaign also encompasses special offers related to flights and transportation. UnionPay cardholders can access exclusive deals when booking flights with international airlines such as Cathay Pacific, Singapore Airlines, Turkish Airlines, and Air China. Travelers will also benefit from discounts when recharging transit cards in Japan and Hong Kong or making payments using the J-Coin Pay app in Japan and ZeroPay in Korea, where discounts can reach up to 10%.

Cardholders who register via the UnionPay app and meet specified spending limits qualify for enhanced exchange rates. Furthermore, 16 partner banks in mainland China, including ICBC, ABC, BOC, CCB, and CMB, provide cashback of up to 12% on UnionPay cards for cross-border transactions, thereby promoting foot traffic to global merchants. Additionally, over 40 international banks issue the UnionPay SplendorPlus card for incoming travelers to China, featuring exclusive cashback and promotional offers tailored to expenditures within the country.
