Pan Global Resources Provides Update on Escacena Project Progress
Pan Global Resources Inc. recently announced significant advancements in its multi-target drilling program at the Escacena project located in southern Spain. This update reveals the company’s commitment to furthering exploration and identifying mineral resources in an area rich with potential for copper, tin, gold, and silver.
Program Insights
As of February 20, 2025, Pan Global has conducted six drillings under the current exploration campaign at Escacena. These include extensions to previous discoveries and investigations of new targets, with results from these efforts expected shortly. Tim Moody, the company’s president and CEO, noted that three extension drillings have been completed near the surface mineralization of La Romana, aimed at refining initial mineral resource estimates.
The company is particularly excited about the completion of the induced polarization (IP) survey at the Bravo target, a high-priority area. After weather-related delays, the IP data is currently being integrated with existing electromagnetic, gravity, and geochemical soil data to finalize drill locations, with drilling planned to commence in two weeks.
Future Target Focus
Looking ahead, the 2025 exploration plan encompasses up to 30 drill holes over 7,000 meters. This ambitious goal targets defining the western extent of the La Romana copper-tin-silver mineralization and exploring at least five new targets within the Escacena area. Additionally, two other targets in the Cármenes project, located in northern Spain, will also be assessed. The drilling program is expected to wrap up by mid-year 2025, with various targets still undergoing evaluation and being prioritized for future exploration.
About Escacena
The Escacena project boasts a comprehensive land package covering 5,760 hectares, all fully owned by Pan Global. Positioned near active mines like Riotinto and historical mining sites such as Aznalcóllar and Los Frailes, Escacena is primed for exploration success. Within this project, Pan Global has identified noteworthy discoveries, including La Romana copper-tin-silver and Cañada Honda gold-copper, alongside promising targets such as Bravo, Barbacena, and more.
The overarching goal for Pan Global is to delineate 100 million tonnes of copper resources from this area, aiming to match successfully lucrative mining operations across the Iberian pyrite belt.
Commitment to Sustainable Mining Practices
Pan Global Resources remains dedicated to exploring rich mineral deposits, particularly copper, given its critical role in the global electrification and energy transition. The company emphasizes not only the mineral potential of the Escacena project but also prioritizes strict adherence to safety measures, environmental stewardship, and community engagement throughout their explorative activities. Pan Global is also a proud member of the United Nations Global Compact, pledging to uphold universal principles in business conduct.
