The upcoming Fruit Attraction 2025 event is poised to be a significant landmark for the horticultural industry, reaffirming its monumental influence around the globe. Happening from
September 30 to October 2, 2025, at the
IFEMA MADRID exhibition center, this year’s edition positions itself as a premier platform for professionals engaged in the fresh produce market.
With merely four months to go until the event kicks off, excitement is building as the organizers have reported an impressive
over 90% occupancy rate of exhibition space. Maria José Sánchez, the event director, highlighted this achievement during the presentation of the 17th edition, attended by dignitaries from both
IFEMA MADRID and
FEPEX.
The event will showcase a
total exposition area of 70,000 square meters, marking an
8% increase in available space compared to previous years. This growth is a testament to the fair’s expanding reputation, drawing over
2,500 exhibiting companies and attracting
more than 120,000 professionals from
150 countries.
Expanded Sector Engagement and New Features
Fruit Attraction 2025 will not only be larger but also smarter, introducing a strategic restructuring designed to optimize the experience for both exhibitors and attendees. The exhibit halls assigned for this year are
Halls 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, and 14, ensuring Madrid becomes a global hub for fresh produce marketing.
- - Halls 3 and 5 will spotlight innovative products from Spanish firms and introduce the InnovaTech area.
- - Even-numbered halls will feature international contributions, including European companies in Halls 4, 6, and 8, alongside major brands from around the globe set for Halls 8 and 10. The American sector will occupy Hall 12, whereas African and Asian exhibitors will be found in Hall 14.
- - Fresh Food Logistics will establish a dedicated section in Hall 4, enhancing supply chain discussions.
A centerpiece of this year's festivities includes the celebrated
tomato, chosen as the star product due to its significance in Spain's culinary landscape. Activities centered on this crop will highlight its crucial role as one of the most consumed vegetables in the country and an essential economic driver for the fresh produce sector.
Commitment to Sustainability and Innovation
Additionally, the fair will put a spotlight on
organic products, encouraging exhibitors to showcase their offerings with unique initiatives aimed at sustainability. The event will return with the prestigious
International Buyers Programme, focusing on
Mexico and
Malaysia to create fresh business opportunities with these markets.
For the second consecutive year, the
Best Stand Awards will be presented, celebrating some of the most innovative exhibit designs, including the categories such as
Most Original,
Best Design,
Most Sustainable, and the
People's Choice Award.
