Chatsworth Products Launches Innovative eConnect® PDUs Featuring QuadLock Outlets for Enhanced Power Management

Chatsworth Products Introduces Next-Gen eConnect® PDUs

In a significant innovation for data center infrastructure, Chatsworth Products, Inc. (CPI) has unveiled its latest eConnect® Power Distribution Units (PDUs) featuring QuadLock outlets. Designed with the shifting requirements of contemporary high-performance data centers in mind, these PDUs enhance outlet versatility and ensure reliable power delivery for demanding applications, such as artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced cooling technologies.

Enhanced Flexibility and Compatibility

The eConnect® PDUs are distinguished by their unique QuadLock outlet configuration, accommodating four types of outlets—C13, C15, C19, and C21—with integrated locking mechanisms. This feature allows data centers to utilize different equipment seamlessly within a single, scalable unit without the need for proprietary power cords, marking a significant advance in versatility for power distribution solutions.

According to Ashish Moondra, Senior Director of Electronics and Software at CPI, the evolution of technology, especially the rise of GPU and AI workloads, necessitates a greater level of infrastructure adaptability and reliability in power management. The new PDUs deliver this flexibility, enabling data centers to swiftly respond to changing equipment needs without compromising performance or uptime.

Key Features of eConnect® PDUs

1. Unmatched Outlet Flexibility: By supporting four distinct outlet types in one PDU, the system simplifies inventory management, minimizes setup times, and enhances future readiness.

2. Reliable Power Delivery: Each outlet is equipped with a secure locking mechanism to prevent accidental disconnection, an essential feature for high-vibration and high-traffic environments, ensuring maximum uptime.

3. High-Power Application Support: The PDUs are optimized for energy-intensive systems and GPU-accelerated workloads, capable of configurations supporting up to 57.5 kW per cabinet and 100A inputs, making them suitable for modern data demands.

4. Color-Coded Outlets: To aid in load balancing and troubleshooting, the outlets are color-coded according to their associated breakers, enhancing workflow efficiency.

5. Modular and Broad Compatibility: Available across all six eConnect PDU models—including Basic, Metered, Monitored, Monitored Pro, Switched, and Switched Pro—the new units integrate seamlessly into existing CPI cabinet systems and can be pre-installed for rapid deployment.

A Sustainable Future

CPI’s commitment extends beyond technological advancement. The eConnect PDUs with QuadLock Outlets are a step toward creating more sustainable and efficient data centers, effectively reducing redundant units and minimizing waste with their modular, future-ready design.
