Nobu Hospitality Unveils Its First UK Residential Project in Manchester

Nobu Hospitality Unveils First UK Project

Nobu Hospitality, the globally renowned luxury lifestyle brand, has recently shared its ambitious plans for a groundbreaking project in Manchester, marking a significant expansion into the United Kingdom's luxury market. This development, aptly named Nobu Hotel, Restaurant, and Residences Manchester, will include the brand's first residential offerings in the UK, alongside a world-class hotel and dining experience.

In collaboration with Salboy, an award-winning real estate developer, this landmark project is set to transform the Manchester skyline, featuring a striking 76-story tower that will reach a height of 246 meters, making it the tallest building outside London. The project is anticipated to cost around £360 million and is situated in a prime location central to Manchester, pending favorable planning outcomes expected this Spring.

A Dedication to Luxury Living

The upcoming Nobu Hotel will comprise 160 luxury hotel rooms, sophisticated event spaces, and an exclusive Nobu restaurant and bar, each designed with the brand’s minimalist aesthetic that patrons have come to love. The development will also feature 452 exclusive Nobu residences, marking a significant entry for the brand into the UK's luxury real estate sector.

These residences promise a unique living experience that encapsulates the Nobu lifestyle, complete with elegantly curated Japanese-inspired design elements and high-end amenities. Residents will benefit from premium services, including access to Nobu’s renowned restaurant and room service, alongside a private swimming pool, spa, podium garden, gym, and an expert concierge team dedicated to crafting unparalleled city experiences.

Manchester's Growing Reputation

As Manchester continues to establish itself as a premier destination for luxury hospitality and high-end real estate, the arrival of Nobu symbolizes a crucial phase in the city’s evolution. With an ever-growing number of world-class brands and restaurateurs choosing Manchester as their next hub, Nobu's entry is poised to further elevate the city’s profile in the global luxury market.

Trevor Horwell, CEO of Nobu Hospitality, expressed excitement about incorporating Manchester into their global portfolio, emphasizing the city's vibrant cultural scene and increasing international presence. He stated, “Strong partnerships are key to our success, and with Salboy, Fred Done, and Simon Ismail on board, we have the finest collaborators with renowned reputations and a global vision.” Horwell, a local to the area, conveyed immense pride in the project, which aligns with Manchester's ongoing transformation into a global luxury hospitality destination.

Fred Done, co-founder of Salboy, underscored Manchester’s status with his remarks on the agreement, noting the impact of Nobu’s innovative cuisine worldwide. He praised the project saying, “This deal will elevate the city to new heights in service, gastronomy, and experience.” Simon Ismail, also a co-founder of Salboy, shared his enthusiasm about the new Nobu residences and hotel, highlighting how it aligns with Nobu’s legacy of setting benchmarks in high-end dining—something recognized even by those who have yet to dine at a Nobu restaurant.

As these plans come to fruition, Nobu Hospitality will not only introduce its iconic blend of luxury and culinary excellence to Manchester but also contribute to the city’s growing landscape of high-end living. This project promises to be a landmark in the UK, encapsulating the essence of the Nobu way of life while reflecting Manchester's dynamic spirit.
