He will primarily focus on bankruptcy and restructuring, alternative investments, as well as credit, derivatives, and structured products. With over 15 years of experience in the financial services sector, Rubin brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise, including a diverse background in hedge funds, asset management, and the development of investment platforms.
Prior to joining Brattle, Rubin was a Senior Equities Analyst at an investment consulting firm specializing in emerging market equities. He spent four years at Sayer Capital as a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager, overseeing research and development, investor relations, budgeting, and portfolio construction.
Rubin expressed his excitement about joining The Brattle Group, stating, "I look forward to collaborating with my colleagues in London and beyond to enhance Brattle's presence in economic processes within the UK and Europe and to assist clients in navigating complex challenges related to damages, insolvency, mergers and acquisitions, and fund disputes."
His key areas of expertise include merger and acquisition (M&A) advisory, fund-related disputes, such as fees and performance, investor communications, claims related to misrepresentation, and fraud matters, along with regulatory compliance issues. Rubin possesses extensive knowledge in valuation, hedge fund structuring, portfolio construction, risk management, trading strategies, and working with cross-asset products, which includes cryptocurrencies and non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
Torben Voetmann, President and Principal of Brattle, commented, "With his comprehensive industry experience, entrepreneurial mindset, and analytical rigor, Idan brings unique skills and a distinctive background to Brattle, significantly enhancing our ability to support clients in high-stakes financial disputes across the UK and Europe."
Rubin’s solid track record in the formation of successful quantitative hedge funds, along with his deep understanding of operational management and policies associated with hedge funds, positions him as a valuable addition to the Brrattle team.
