Strengthening Recycling Practices: F-Pico and Yume Mart Kumamoto's Initiative
In a significant step towards sustainability, F-Pico Co., Ltd. and Yume Mart Kumamoto have joined forces to enhance their 'store-to-store' horizontal recycling initiative. This partnership aims to create a more sustainable society by improving recycling practices across 94 locations, including 24 Yume Mart stores and 70 Sunny stores. Through this collaboration, the companies are committed to minimizing environmental impact and actively contributing to eco-friendly community practices.
Enhancing Store-to-Store Horizontal Recycling
Yume Mart Kumamoto has installed collection boxes in its stores, allowing community members to deposit used food trays and PET bottles. These collected items will be repurposed by F-Pico into valuable resources, transforming them into eco-products such as eco-trays. This ‘store-to-store’ approach ensures that the recycled materials are utilized directly within Yume Mart Kumamoto’s operations, thereby further supporting their recycling goals.
Hosting Environmental Events at Stores
To raise environmental awareness within the community, F-Pico and Yume Mart Kumamoto are organizing various events at their stores. These events will provide educational opportunities for customers, emphasizing the importance of recycling and methods to reduce food waste. By creating engaging and informative experiences, the initiative aims to foster environmentally responsible behaviors among community members while having some fun.
Promoting the Eco-Store Initiative
To maximize participation in the horizontal recycling efforts, eye-catching 'Eco-Store Collaboration Declaration' posters will be displayed in the stores. These posters will serve to inform customers about the initiative, encouraging more people to engage in recycling practices and reinforcing the idea that the stores are local eco-leaders.
