Strategic Partnership to Boost Financial Education
On December 18, 2025, in a significant move to enhance financial education in Vietnam, the Banking Academy of Vietnam (BAV) formalized a strategic partnership with the Vantage Foundation. This was marked by the signing of a memorandum of understanding during a ceremonial event at the Banking Academy's Hanoi campus on December 16.
Enhancing Educational Framework
The agreement sets the groundwork for future collaborations aimed at supporting various educational initiatives. The first program under this partnership is planned for 2026 and will target the development of financial literacy among Vietnamese students and professionals.
The ceremony featured high-ranking officials from both institutions, including BAV's Acting President Dr. Pham Thi Hoang Anh, Vice President Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong, and other prestigious members. The Vantage Foundation was represented by figures such as Mr. Adam Siew, Vice President of Business Development, who outlined the necessity of quality education in today’s data-driven financial sector.
Shared Vision and Goals
Dr. Pham Thi Hoang Anh emphasized the Banking Academy's commitment to collaborate with international partners to elevate the academic standards and relevancy of financial education. He noted that fostering relationships with organizations like the Vantage Foundation could enrich the curriculum and provide extensive resources and expertise in the field.
In his address, Mr. Siew pointed out the increasing importance of education in nurturing future talent capable of navigating complex financial landscapes shaped by data analytics and artificial intelligence. He believes that education is vital for sustainable development in Vietnam, particularly as technological advancements continue to influence financial decision-making processes.
The pinnacle of the event was the official signing of the strategic cooperation agreement, which not only cemented the partnership but also detailed the areas of collaboration. These include co-development of educational programs, mobilizing international expertise and resources, and synchronized communication efforts to amplify the value of financial education among stakeholders.
Upcoming Initiatives: Training Program on Financial Data Analysis
As part of the initial collaboration, BAV and Vantage plan to roll out a one-day training program titled “Analyzing Financial Data and Decision Making in the Age of AI.” This training, scheduled for late February to early March 2026, will take place at the Banking Academy in Hanoi. The program is designed to accommodate both in-person and online participation, widening accessibility for participants.
Upon completing the program, participants will receive certificates, helping them to add value to their professional profiles. The collaboration is also expected to extend to prominent Vietnamese universities, further enhancing educational outreach.
