The event aims to spotlight companies that are spearheading transformative projects in various sectors across Japan. These finalists will each present their unique approaches to DX, including real-world case studies and the backgrounds of their initiatives. Furthermore, they will engage in a live Q&A session with a panel of experts, giving audience members a chance to hear firsthand about the challenges and successes encountered throughout these transformative journeys.

A Closer Look at the Japan DX Awards 2026


Marking its fifth year, the Japan DX Awards recognize trailblazers who are actively pursuing organizational and operational changes through digital transformation. The theme for this year is "Transformation breeds further transformation," which invites participants to consider how one change can spur others across organizations, regions, and industries.

  • - Taisei Corporation: 'T-BasisX', a standard infrastructure for construction DX aimed at creating dreamlike construction environments.

Regional DX Category (Streaming: June 17, 14:00 – 16:00)

  • - Japan Healthcare Platform: Digitally connecting local medical services, marking a transition from traditional methods.
  • - Tamana City: Implementing digital twin technology in urban policy and disaster prevention.
  • - Iwata General Hospital: Solving hospital issues and extending support to nearby municipalities with a user-friendly taxi reservation system.
  • - Yokosuka City: Pioneering nationwide preventive healthcare models through a unique combination of AI, big data, and human warmth.

Administrative DX Category (Streaming: June 17, 16:00 – 18:00)

  • - Fukushima City & Fujifilm System Service: Enabling efficient disaster recovery support through DX.
  • - Nagasaki Prefecture: Focusing on self-sustaining operational culture improvements through a dedicated team.
  • - Hinata City: Visualizing the effects of AI utilization in administrative tasks.
  • - Tamana City: Establishing 'Disaster Prevention DX' and sustainable infrastructure maintenance through local knowledge.

Support Category (Streaming: June 18, 14:00 – 16:00)

  • - NTT DX Partners: Implementing effective DX support for small businesses, collaborating with local financial institutions.
  • - Fukuoka Financial Group: Assisting around 4,000 small enterprises on their DX journeys.
  • - Kitakyushu Industrial Academic Promotion Organization: Facilitating regional DX through individual company support models.
  • - Sakai City: Challenging the limitations of digitalization with genuine DX support practices.

What to Expect from the Public Presentation


Each company will present for 15 minutes, followed by a 5-minute Q&A session with judges, all broadcasted live. Attendees will gain insights not only into the successes but also into challenges, decisions, and how organizations adapt—all crucial facets often overlooked in paperwork.

Audience members can also participate in real-time voting to share their opinions and engage.

Following the public presentation, the results will lead to the 'Japan DX Awards 2026 Summit & Awards,' scheduled for July 22-23, 2026, at TODA Hall & Conference in Tokyo.
