Ryuugasaki City Signs Parenting Support Agreement for Community Collaboration

Ryuugasaki City and Parenting Support Cooperation Agreement

On September 25, 2025, at 11:00 AM, Ryuugasaki City, under the leadership of Mayor Isamu Hagiwara, will host a ceremony to sign a parenting support cooperation agreement with the Living Cooperative Pal System Ibaraki Tochigi. The signing will take place at the Ryuugasaki City Hall, specifically in the 3rd-floor conference room. This collaboration marks a significant step towards enhancing parenting support in the region.

The agreement stipulates that Ryuugasaki City will distribute a congratulatory package called the "Omedetou Bako"—a collection of essential childcare products—to families with newborns. This initiative will not only provide practical support but also foster a sense of security among parents in the community.

Details of the Collaboration

The initiative includes distributing notification cards for health check-ups for infants aged three to four months, wherein the card will inform parents about the availability of the "Omedetou Bako". Each package will consist of baby soap, wet wipes, and ingredients beneficial for making baby food, all delivered through Pal System's delivery service.

Pal System will take on the role of directly handing over these packages to applicants, enhancing accessibility and providing a friendly touch to the distribution process. Moreover, they will assist with information about parenting consultations and support services created by the city, thereby contributing to a supportive environment conducive to raising children.

With the signing of this agreement, Ryuugasaki City marks its 10th partnership with local municipalities, further promoting community-wide efforts to support parenting. This initiative helps create a safety net for families, fostering an environment where children can thrive.

Promotion of Child-Rearing Support

The ceremony to sign this latest agreement reflects a growing recognition of the need for collaboration between local government and community organizations. The Pal System has committed to regularly visiting the area to provide not just products but also to distribute information about parenting-related events and points of consultation that reinforce community ties.

2025 is designated as the International Year of Cooperatives by the United Nations, an important milestone that resonates with Pal System Ibaraki Tochigi's mission. The cooperative aims to continue actively sharing parenting information, working alongside the government and various stakeholders to build an environment where everyone can raise children without apprehension.
