Founded in 2015, G's Academy aimed to support individuals wishing to change the world through their actions and innovations. When it first launched, the landscape for startups was quite different—entrepreneurs were seen as risk-takers, and there were fewer resources like incubation centers and venture capital in Japan. Fast forward to today, the startup culture is embraced across the globe, and initiatives to bolster entrepreneurship are now state-driven policy in Japan.

As our world rapidly evolves, so too does the definition of what it means to be an entrepreneur or an engineer. The rise of technologies, including generative AI, has made it possible for those without a traditional engineering background to create their own Minimum Viable Products (MVPs). This democratization of technology is a central theme in G's new approach, emphasizing that anyone can be the hero of their own entrepreneurial journey.

Rethinking the Brand

The rebranding to 'G's' aims to redefine the institution from merely a school to a vibrant hub for those who refuse to give up on their dreams. The decision to drop the term 'Academy' carries a significant message: G's is more than just a place for education; it’s a community for 'GEEKS' to come together, innovate, and disrupt norms.

The fresh logo aims to retain continuity with the past while ushering in a bold new identity. The updated tagline, 'Destroy, Create, Yourself, and the World,' echoes the spirit of innovation that has come to define graduates from the program. It underscores the idea that overcoming obstacles and utilizing technology to bring shaping dreams into reality is not just possible, but essential.

Empowering Through Education

G's will also begin accepting applications for the new 'DEV Course' starting October 2025. This intensive program promises hands-on training with coding every week, leading students to develop their original web services or apps. As part of this course, students will gain crucial skills in 'With AI' methods of product development, learning how to effectively integrate AI into their projects.

Additionally, students can tailor their learning experience with optional labs like 'Startup Business Lab,' 'Engineer Technology Lab,' and 'Scrum Development Lab.' These offerings provide pathways to align with individual career goals, whether aspiring to launch a startup or transition into an engineering role.
