XTI Aerospace Expands Board with Drone Expert Clinton J. Weber

XTI Aerospace Welcomes Clinton J. Weber to Its Board of Directors

In a strategic move to bolster its expertise in the drone and unmanned aircraft systems sector, XTI Aerospace, Inc. has announced the election of Clinton J. Weber to its Board of Directors. This decision came during the company’s annual shareholder meeting held on December 30, 2025. As XTI Aerospace positions itself more firmly within the drone market, Weber's impressive background is expected to play a pivotal role in steering the company amidst evolving industry demands.

Scott Pomeroy, CEO of XTI Aerospace, expressed confidence in Weber's capabilities, highlighting his extensive experience in both civilian and defense aviation environments. "As we continue to sharpen our focus on the drone and unmanned aircraft markets, Clinton's experience operating within drone-enabled aerospace platforms and geospatial intelligence businesses is exceptionally valuable," Pomeroy stated. This strategic appointment is seen as crucial as XTI expands its new subsidiary, Drone Nerds, LLC, aimed at servicing enterprise and government clients with advanced unmanned aircraft solutions.

Weber currently holds the position of Chief Financial Officer at Prius Intelli, LLC. His work there involves business development and M&As, alongside crucial financial analysis in the remote aerial imaging and geospatial intelligence sector. His deep connection to unmanned aerial systems, combined with advanced technologies, strongly aligns with the goals XTI aims to achieve with its acquired Drone Nerds.

Before his tenure at Prius Intelli, Weber was the Chief Investment Officer for Trinity Investment Management, LLC. His experience there involved overseeing capital allocation strategies and investment performance, underlining his skills in directing financial and operational execution within complex investment frameworks. His diverse professional history also includes serving as Managing Director at the Trinity Faith Family Values Alternative Income Fund, where he managed portfolio oversight and governance.

Weber started his career flying tactical jets as an officer in the United States Marine Corps, providing him with firsthand knowledge of aviation operations and systems critical to military missions. This background not only enriches his data-driven decision-making skills but also aligns well with XTI’s strategic aspirations in both commercial and defense sectors.

Educationally, Weber boasts a Bachelor of Arts degree from Texas A&M University and an MBA from Texas Christian University. His rich combination of experiences—ranging from military aviation to financial analysis in aerospace—positions him uniquely at the intersection of technology and strategic governance.

Founded with a vision of advancing vertical flight technology, XTI Aerospace’s acquisition of Drone Nerds in late 2025 aims to enhance the company’s offerings in unmanned aircraft systems and associated solutions. The organization strives to provide innovative aerial solutions while developing their XTI Aircraft business, focusing on vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) aircraft that blend the capabilities of helicopters and fixed-wing airplanes.

As XTI Aerospace forges ahead, Clinton J. Weber’s insights and experience are expected to guide the company through its next phase of growth, addressing the complexities and opportunities within the rapidly expanding world of drones and unmanned systems.
