Introduction to EcoPro 2025

Japan's Yamamura Glass Co., along with its partner TRIFE DESIGN, will present an exciting array of upcycled products made from used plastic bottle caps. These creations symbolize a significant step toward a circular economy and highlight the importance of sustainability in corporate practices.

Collaborative Development of Upcycled Products

Yamamura Glass has worked closely with TRIFE DESIGN to develop three notable prototypes:

• - Polyethylene Cross: This innovative material incorporates fibers and films woven from discarded bottle caps into a sheet-like structure, demonstrating the potential for repurposing waste into valuable resources.
• - Monofilament: A single filament of synthetic fiber, typically used in fishing lines and toothbrushes, showcases how everyday items can be reimagined through recycling efforts.
• - Sheet Material: This product is crafted from used bottle caps and clear holders, effectively turning waste into practical, reusable materials.

The exhibition will also feature Yamamura's ongoing initiative, RIN - Recycle Innovation in the New Normal, focusing on transforming used bottle caps into new caps and valuable products. This project emphasizes not just recycling but a holistic design approach that encompasses product design, collection, regeneration, and reuse.
