Kinoshita Construction Opens New Kyoto Shijo Exhibit
Kinoshita Construction Co., Ltd., headquartered in Shinju-ku, Tokyo, is excited to announce the grand opening of its latest housing exhibit, the Kyoto Shijo Exhibit, on July 19, 2025. This new model is designed using the 2x4 wooden construction method and is a three-story urban house that beautifully integrates a central courtyard theme.
A Harmonious Design for Urban Living
The Kinoshita Kyoto Shijo Exhibit is carefully crafted to blend seamlessly with the dense urban landscape of Kyoto. Its refined exterior reflects the charm of the city while ensuring high-security measures and privacy for its inhabitants. The central courtyard concept invites natural light and ventilation, creating an open and airy living space that fosters family interactions.
We cordially invite everyone to visit and explore this innovative home that prioritizes the comfort of urban families.
Concept: Enriching Lives for Families
The design philosophy behind the Kyoto Shijo Exhibit emphasizes enhancing the quality of life for families raising children in urban environments. The interiors showcase a sophisticated Japandi style, merging Japanese minimalism and Scandinavian comfort, which results in a calming atmosphere reminiscent of a luxury hotel.
Key Features: A Courtyard for Light and Connection
The exhibit features a thoughtfully designed courtyard at its center, which distributes sunlight throughout the house and connects the family members on each floor. The layout encourages seamless movement around the house, from the first to the third floor, all bathed in natural light. This approach minimizes external openings, thereby enhancing security and privacy—an essential aspect for urban living, where homes are closely situated.
Spacious and Functional Design for Families
The first floor offers flexible living options, anticipated for multi-generational households, complete with a private entrance and independent water facilities. The main entrance, graced with ample natural light from the courtyard, includes features such as a ‘welcome hand-washing station’ and a ‘clean room’ for hygiene.
Floors two and three incorporate design elements such as tatami corners and efficient movement pathways for house chores, catering to the needs of families with children and enhancing their living experience.
