Discover the "Geometry of Color" Exhibition at Longchamp
Longchamp, a leading fashion house founded by Jean Cassegrain in Paris in 1948, is known for its unique blend of authenticity and energy. The brand is currently hosting an exhibition titled "Geometry of Color," dedicated to the works of French artist Geneviève Claisse, who was a pioneer in geometric abstraction. This exhibition, created in collaboration with Galerie A&R Fleury, will be on display at the flagship store located on Rue Saint-Honoré until February 10, 2026.
The exhibition features a collection of works created by Claisse from the 1950s to 2000s, focusing on her gouache and canvas paintings. Highlights include various pieces that reflect the harmony between form, line, and color, showcasing the evolution of her artistic style over more than 50 years of creativity. Visitors can gain insight into Claisse's innovative spirit that resonates with the essence of Longchamp, celebrating energy, creative curiosity, and timeless modernity.
In addition to the Paris exhibition, select pieces by Claisse are also on display at the "Longchamp La Maison Ginza" in Tokyo and the newly inaugurated flagship store, "La Maison de Famille," in Shanghai. Notable exhibits include the eye-catching acrylic painting "H" (1969) in Ginza, which features warm tones of yellow, red, and orange, and the cold-toned "H Luz" (1970) showcased in Shanghai, marking the brand's commitment to bringing contemporary art to diverse audiences.
Through the "Geometry of Color" exhibition, Longchamp is keen to foster dialogues that transcend the boundaries of art, design, and fashion. The brand's unwavering dedication to modern art is evident in its collaborations with contemporary artists, including Kenyan photographer Thandiwe Muriu, French furniture designer Pierre Renart, and artist Constantin Riant, reflecting a commitment to innovation and artistic expression.
As the New Year 2026 begins, Longchamp invites art lovers to experience the brilliance of Claisse's light-infused creations in the heart of Paris, a city known for its rich artistic heritage.

About Geneviève Claisse
Geneviève Claisse (1935–2018) was born in the northern French town of Quiévy. Her artistic journey began in the early 1950s when she discovered the magazine "Art d’Aujourd’hui," which ignited her interest in the movement of abstract expressionism. With encouragement from her great-uncle, Auguste Herbin, Claisse became a self-taught painter and went on to exhibit her works internationally from the 1960s onward. Known for her unique style marked by pure forms, intricate lines, and vibrant colors, she dedicated over five decades to exploring geometric abstraction. Her works have been featured in exhibitions at Galerie Denise René and retrospectives at the Matisse Museum in Le Cateau-Cambrésis, alongside significant collections held by major institutions and private collectors.
