Manufactured using standard CMOS processes, these thermal imaging detectors represent a significant breakthrough in cost-effectiveness for mass markets. “We’ve integrated the entire system—from pixel array to image-processing controllers—into a single chip, which facilitates swift adaptation in consumer devices,” says Gadjali. This holistic approach not only simplifies the deployment but also aligns perfectly with the market’s need for affordable solutions.

Meridian’s Panther module, which exemplifies this innovative spirit, is also envisioned to extend into the health and wellness monitoring sector. The axial backbone of this technology is the SenXor platform, which fuses thermal and visual modalities, fostering continuous physiological monitoring essential for early detection of potential health issues.
