This announcement was made during the Choose France event, underscoring the strengthening ties between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and France in the realm of artificial intelligence.

The partnership aligns with broader initiatives to enhance AI cooperation driven by UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and French President Emmanuel Macron, which were initiated in February 2025. Both countries seek to pave the way for an AI future that is open and accessible to all. This new alliance signifies a pivotal chapter in interregional AI teamwork, rooted in nearly 50 years of economic and cultural connections between the UAE and France.

The cooperation between G42 and Mistral AI merges G42's operational scale and AI capabilities, demonstrated through its diverse subsidiaries such as Core42, focused on AI infrastructure, and Inception, which develops AI platforms and solutions. This integration will also leverage Mistral AI's cutting-edge research, solutions, and products concerning large language models and open weights.
