Genpact Appoints Sumita Pandit as CFO
On September 8, 2026, Genpact, a leading company in Agentic Operations, announced the appointment of Sumita Pandit as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This transition takes effect on September 9, 2026, and Pandit will be reporting directly to Balkrishan 'BK' Kalra, Genpact's President and CEO. Sumita Pandit succeeds Michael Weiner, who held the CFO position since 2021. Weiner has indicated that he will remain in the company as an advisor through the end of the first quarter of 2027, ensuring a smooth transition as Pandit steps into her new role. BK Kalra expressed gratitude for Weiner's contributions in strengthening Genpact's financial framework and positioning the company for its next chapter.
Pandit brings nearly 25 years of substantial experience to Genpact, having specialized in technology-driven growth, project leadership, mergers and acquisitions, and capital markets. Before this role, she served as the President and CFO of Radian Group, where she oversaw the mortgage insurance business and directed its finance operations. Her robust background also includes her role as COO at dLocal, a rapidly growing payments firm, where she led the company through its successful initial public offering (IPO). Additionally, Pandit worked at J.P. Morgan, serving as Managing Director and Global Head of Fintech Investment Banking, and she also had a tenure at Goldman Sachs.
Kalra commented on Pandit's appointment, highlighting her unique fusion of finance leadership in rapidly scaling companies, extensive experience in business technology and operations, and deep understanding of capital markets. He believes this combination will significantly enhance Genpact's leadership team as the company pursues its growth strategy and the next phase of its development. He said, "We are transforming Genpact to define the future of Agentic Operations and create greater long-term value for our clients and shareholders."
In her own words, Pandit noted the unique position Genpact occupies, stating, "Genpact sits at a rare intersection with decades of deep domain knowledge, a real understanding of enterprise operations, and the technology to fundamentally reimagine work." She expressed her eagerness to collaborate with BK and the leadership team in scaling the company's next chapter to deliver lasting value for its stakeholders through agentic intelligence.
