Tacta Systems™ Launches New Production Facility in Singapore to Enhance Robotics Manufacturing

Tacta Systems™ Expands Global Manufacturing with New Facility in Singapore

Tacta Systems™, a leader in Dexterous Intelligence technology for robotics, has taken a significant step forward by opening a new office and manufacturing facility in Woodlands, Singapore. This expansion, announced on September 24, 2026, is a strategic initiative to enhance the company’s manufacturing capabilities as it gears up for the rollout of its advanced robotics technology to customers starting in early 2027.

The newly established facility in Singapore will primarily focus on the production of the Tacta Glove™, an essential component of Tacta's Skill Capture system. This innovative glove is designed to be worn by skilled workers as they perform their tasks, capturing critical data on force, motion, and temperature. This data is then utilized in conjunction with video analysis to teach Tacta's robotic hands various skills, enabling a seamless integration of human-like dexterity into the manufacturing process.

Just two months prior to this announcement, Tacta Systems unveiled its robotic technology, highlighted by the TactaBot™, which combines the innovative Tacta Hand, the Skill Capture system, and a powerful Dexterous Intelligence AI engine. This groundbreaking combination empowers robots to possess the finesse and agility necessary for high-value manufacturing tasks. The new facility will allow Tacta to scale production and meet the anticipated demand for its technology across the electronics, AI infrastructure, and automotive sectors.

Vikram Pavate, the co-founder and CEO of Tacta Systems, expressed enthusiasm about the Singapore expansion, emphasizing the region's rich manufacturing expertise and its advanced semiconductor ecosystem. He stated, "When we launched Tacta, we demonstrated that robots can achieve the touch and dexterity required for sophisticated manufacturing. Our current focus on scaling that technology is pivotal, and Singapore provides us with an optimal platform to grow."

Collaboration is at the heart of this expansion, as Tacta Systems has partnered with the A*STAR Institute of Microelectronics. This partnership aims to boost the production of the tactile sensors that are crucial to Tacta's technology, leveraging local manufacturing expertise and infrastructure to ramp up production efficiently.

In addition to the operational advancements, Tacta's expansion into Singapore is being supported by the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) and EDBI, the strategic investment arm of SG Growth Capital. Png Cheong Boon, Chairman of the EDB, highlighted the significance of Tacta's presence, stating, "Tacta's cutting-edge robotics and sensory technologies will enhance industrial automation and deploy physical AI across various sectors. This facility not only positions Singapore as an engineering and manufacturing hub for Tacta but also generates exciting job opportunities for our local workforce."

Singapore will play a pivotal role in Tacta's global operations, bolstering its manufacturing capacity and serving as a strategic base in Asia for local deployments. As the company continues to grow, it has plans to accelerate hiring in the upcoming fourth quarter, particularly in manufacturing, engineering, and testing roles.
