Power Nickel Strengthens Leadership with Joe Campbell as VP Exploration

Power Nickel Expands Its Leadership Team with New Appointment

In an exciting development for Power Nickel Inc., the company has announced the appointment of Joe Campbell as Vice President of Exploration. This strategic move comes as the company aims to amplify its exploration efforts in 2025 and beyond. Campbell, an industry veteran with an impressive track record spanning more than 40 years, will be instrumental in leading the company’s exploration strategy moving forward.

Previously, the role was held by Ken Williamson, who will now shift his focus back to geology consulting work after successfully executing the first drill programs for the Lion zone in 2024. Power Nickel appreciates Williamson's contributions and wishes him the best in his future endeavors.

Joe Campbell brings a wealth of expertise to Power Nickel, having worked in a variety of senior positions for major mining projects. His experience includes roles as Chief Geologist for both open-pit and underground operations, along with managing major projects such as the Meliadine Gold project, operated by Agnico Eagle Mines. Moreover, he has served in leadership capacities at Gold Terra, where he held the positions of President, Executive Chairman, and COO, solidifying his status as a respected figure in the mining sector.

Throughout his career, Campbell has garnered extensive experience with resource estimation, economic assessments, and project management, specifically during the critical phases of pre-feasibility, feasibility, and operational development. His knowledge encompasses a wide array of mineral resources, including mesothermal and epithermal gold, volcanogenic massive sulfide (VMS), as well as copper-gold-molybdenum and nickel deposits. Additionally, Campbell's backgrounds in environmental reviews are valuable in ensuring that mining operations comply with regulations and best practices.

Terry Lynch, CEO of Power Nickel, expressed his enthusiasm about adding Campbell to the leadership team, stating, "Joe's extensive experience aligns perfectly with our plans to escalate our exploration activities. We are confident that his expertise will enhance our processes and help us achieve our targets more effectively."

Steve Beresford, a director at Power Nickel and a resource expert, added, "When I joined Power Nickel, it became clear to me that the Western Mining approach I had been trained in was applicable here. Joe's expertise will greatly enhance our ability to expand our exploration successes."

Power Nickel is currently focused on the Nisk project, a high-grade nickel-copper-platinum group metals (PGM), gold, and silver initiative that aims to develop into one of Canada's premier polymetallic mines. The company completed an acquisition allowing it to hold up to 80% of this project, which boasts remarkable geological potential with a considerable strike length and multiple high-grade intercepts. Furthermore, they are working on drilling programs that aim to evaluate the Nisk discovery zone, Lion discovery zone, and explore adjacent land for potential additional deposits.

In addition to Nisk, Power Nickel has considerable land holdings in British Columbia and Chile, further diversifying its exploration prospects. The company is planning to reorganize these assets into a public vehicle to maximize their strategic value moving forward.
