Scenic Shore Bike Tour 2026: A Inspiring Event Uniting Cyclists for Blood Cancer Awareness

Scenic Shore Bike Tour 2026: Join the Movement

The Scenic Shore Bike Tour, a beloved event hosted by Blood Cancer United (formerly known as The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society), is set to return on July 25-26, 2026, on the picturesque shores of Lake Michigan in Mequon, Wisconsin. This annual cycling tour expects to attract over a thousand participants from different backgrounds, all coming together to raise funds and advocate for those affected by blood cancers.

For 34 years, the Scenic Shore Bike Tour has acted as a beacon of hope and community, embodying the mission of Blood Cancer United to support research, patient care, and advocacy. This year, the ride is not only a chance to enjoy the great outdoors but also reflects a commitment to making a difference in the lives of blood cancer patients.

Participants can choose from an array of route options that include 25, 75, 100, and 150-mile rides, providing something for everyone regardless of ability or experience level. "Scenic Shore is much more than just a bike ride—it's a powerful community united by purpose," explains Coker Powell, Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer of Blood Cancer United. This event allows cyclists to ride solo, with family, or as part of a team, with each mile serving as a vital contribution to the fight against blood cancer.

This year, the ride will honor Amira, a brave young girl who has overcome extraordinary challenges after being diagnosed with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Amira's story of resilience—having battled the disease since she was just two years old, enduring intensive treatments and finally achieving a cancer-free status in 2023—serves as a significant source of inspiration for riders and supporters alike.
