Immerse yourself in a serene overnight stay that harmonizes with nature and embodies timeless Japanese culture. This unique experience, offered exclusively through Airbnb Japan, invites you to step inside a beautifully restored traditional Japanese farmhouse, lovingly curated by renowned model and creator, Mori Hikari. Only one group, accommodating up to four guests, will have the opportunity to indulge in this special retreat.

A Unique Collaboration

In 2023, Airbnb Japan collaborated with Mori Hikari to launch a revitalization project for traditional Japanese houses, making this exclusive experience possible. This initiative emphasizes not just accommodation but also the significance of sharing Japan's rich cultural heritage with future generations. Mori Hikari, during her travels, has been inspired by various cultures across the globe, nurturing a deep appreciation for sustainable living intertwined with Japan's artistic traditions and craftsmanship.

The Setting

The accommodation features the Nagaya-mon, a traditional Japanese structure that combines an entrance gate with a living space. Once used as the entrance to samurai residences and farmhouses, this beautifully restored private space retains its historic charm while providing modern comforts. Guests will find tranquility and solace in an environment that encourages reflection and connection with nature.

Curated Experiences Await

The experience begins with a warm welcome from Mori Hikari herself, who will greet guests as if they’ve returned home. The stay includes a guided tour where she shares the stories and emotions behind each carefully curated space. Guests will also enjoy culinary delights featuring locally sourced ingredients, offered in the privacy of their lodging.

Moreover, participants will receive a unique gift of incense from ‘Tefutefu,’ a brand led by Mori Hikari, enhancing their sensory experience. The renowned tea master, Takae Taika, will host a special event themed around 'Tea, Flowers, Fragrance, and Colors.' This occasion draws inspiration from childhood memories, rekindling the playful spirit of days gone by, promising to be both joyful and enlightening.

A Night to Remember

More than just a night’s stay, this experience is designed to deepen guests' connection to the essence of Japanese culture and the natural landscape. It encourages a thoughtful engagement with the present moment, offering quality time away from daily routines.

Mori Hikari's Vision

In her own words, Mori Hikari expresses her desire for guests to truly experience the essence of Japan during their stay. She emphasizes listening to the quietude and flow of time that traditional houses embody, encouraging visitors to open their senses and savor every moment.
