Furniture China 2025: Setting New Records
The 30th edition of Furniture China and Maison Shanghai 2025 took place from September 10 to 13 and September 9 to 12, respectively, marking a significant milestone in the global furniture and design industry. This year’s event, themed
"BEYOND NEXT," showcased a dynamic mix of world-class design, innovation, and commerce, drawing an unprecedented number of attendees from around the globe.
Record-Breaking Attendance
Over five days, Furniture China 2025 welcomed
163,527 visitors from
174 countries and regions. This figure demonstrates the truly international character of the trade fair. Notably,
32,618 attendees were from abroad, signifying a 13.9% increase compared to the previous year, which underscores the growing prestige of the event on the world stage.
A New Face for the Global Furniture Scene
This year, more than
3,200 exhibitors showcased their offerings across an impressive
350,000 square meters of exhibition space. These ranged from finished furniture manufacturers to suppliers of raw materials and smart manufacturing solutions. Of particular note were the outdoor and garden furniture pavilion as well as the FMC China and FMC Premium sections at SNIEC, which demonstrate a commitment to both sustainability and high-quality production. The combination of strong offerings for buyers with innovative designs has further solidified Furniture China and Maison Shanghai’s positions as leading global centers for the furniture and lifestyle industry.
At SWEECC, Maison Shanghai captivated audiences with over
800 design-focused brands, carefully organized into four thematic zones, all aimed at sparking creativity and innovation in lifestyle design. The H3 Design Highland pavilion drew monumental attention, becoming a hub for professionals, media, and buyers alike—setting a new standard for design-focused exhibitions.
This year's Maison Shanghai exhibited significant growth, attracting
47,077 attendees (a remarkable
55.6% increase) from
136 countries and regions. The number of international visitors rose dramatically by 123% from the previous year, reflecting the event's growing influence in the realm of lifestyle design and cultural creativity. Over a hundred forums and events accompanied the exhibits, with key platforms like the Gold Idea Design Award, CREDAWARD, Design of Designers (DOD), and Maison Design Forum emphasizing themes of innovation, tradition, sustainability, and the bridging of Eastern and Western influences.
Beyond the Exhibition Halls
The fairs expanded their reach into the digital realm through the
DTS FurnitureChina APP, which facilitates year-round trading with AI-powered smart pairing features and seamless connections to exhibitors' catalogs. This forward-thinking approach further enhances the event's accessibility and networking potential.
