American College of Cardiology (ACC) is set to organize a community health fair in New Orleans this coming March 21, 2026. This important event aims to foster cardiovascular wellness, encourage early detection, and ensure equitable healthcare within the community, coinciding with the ACC's
Annual Scientific Session.

- - When: Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. CT
- - Where: Treme Recreation Community Center, 900 N. Villere St., New Orleans, LA 70116
- - Who Should Attend: Open to the public, with a special invitation to those with a family or personal history of conditions like diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, heart failure, or any cardiovascular disease.

Community Collaboration
This health fair represents a collaborative effort involving the ACC’s Health Equity Activities Work Group, the ACC Louisiana Chapter, local community partners, and educational institutions. The objective is to enhance heart health awareness, fortify partnerships with community organizations, and galvanize future actions to inspire healthier living.
Participants will have the chance to benefit from health education sessions, free screenings including blood pressure checks, heart health blood tests, and healthy snacks. Raffles will also be held to encourage attendance.
Kickoff for Annual Scientific Session
The upcoming health fair will act as a precursor to the ACC's
Annual Scientific Session, taking place from March 28 to 30, 2026, at the
Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. This premier medical conference will see cardiologists and cardiovascular specialists from around the globe converge to share advancements in treatment and prevention strategies for heart disease.
