The initiative aims to empower student-athletes by forging partnerships with key representatives within the Big 12, including notable figures such as NiJaree Canady, Olivia Miles, and Sam Leavitt. These athletes will serve as brand ambassadors, showcasing how to utilize their NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) earnings smartly through Venmo.

"This partnership with Venmo promotes financial empowerment for athletes," expressed Canady, a Texas Tech pitcher, highlighting how the debit card simplifies the process of managing NIL earnings. A Big 12 Conference debit card will also be available for fans affiliated with schools outside the conference.
