Tachikawa Athletic FC Launches Support Project for Local Schools with MetLife

New Initiative from Tachikawa Athletic FC

On June 22nd, Tachikawa Athletic FC, based in Tachikawa City, Tokyo, will kick off an exciting new project, the "Asle All-School Cheer Project supported by MetLife Life Insurance." This initiative aims to foster a sense of local pride among children in Tachikawa by introducing them to professional sports in their community.

Purpose of the Project

The "Asle All-School Cheer Project" will be held in conjunction with the MetLife F-League Division 1 match against Boars Nagano. The project targets elementary schools in Tachikawa City, allowing students to witness firsthand the high-level competitive sports taking place in their hometown. The primary goal is to instill a sense of pride and appreciation for their local area.

Tachikawa Athletic FC operates under the philosophy of bringing "great dreams and a little color to everyday life through sports." By experiencing the excitement and energy of a professional match, children can form a stronger connection to their community, realizing that they have something to be proud of right at their doorstep.

Engaging Young Fans

By introducing local elementary schools, such as Tachikawa City Shichida Elementary and Tachikawa City Wakabadai Elementary, to the world of professional futsal, the club hopes to inspire a deeper engagement with sports among the youth. Understanding that a team is striving for national and global recognition encourages the children to take pride in their town and see the potential of what they can achieve.

Support from MetLife

This important project is made possible through the generous support of MetLife, the title partner of the F-League. Together, Tachikawa Athletic FC and MetLife aim to provide opportunities for local children to experience sports and nurture their attachment to the community. The hope is that through this initiative, the children will have memorable experiences that contribute to their healthy growth and the revitalization of the region.

A Special Message from the Director

Akira Minamoto, the representative director of Tachikawa Athletic FC, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating that it offers elementary school students a unique learning environment, far removed from their everyday lives. He hopes that one day, as they grow older, they’ll fondly recall attending a professional sports event in their hometown, enriching their memories and giving this initiative profound significance.

Furthermore, the director aims for this experience to engage not only children who are already interested in sports but also those who may have had limited exposure to athletic activities. This is a valuable opportunity to spark interest in futsal and sports in general.

Minamoto extends heartfelt thanks to the participating schools for their support and collaboration on this initiative and appreciates the understanding and backing from MetLife. Their contributions foster a richer community experience centered around sports.
