CATL and Partners Launch a $6 Billion Battery Integration Project in Indonesia
On July 2, 2025, Ningbo Contemporary Brunp Lygend Co., Ltd. (CBL) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Indonesia Battery Integration Project in Karawang, West Java. This significant initiative, which has garnered a $6 billion investment, aims to fully integrate the entire battery value chain, from nickel extraction to battery manufacturing and recycling. Alongside CBL are key partners such as PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTAM) and the Indonesia Battery Corporation (IBC).
The ambitious project will span 2,000 hectares and involve various crucial aspects, including nickel mining and processing, the creation of battery materials, and battery recycling centered in the FHT Industrial Park located in North Maluku.
