Exploring CIBONE's Unique 2026 Spring/Summer Selection: A Blend of Furniture and Fashion

CIBONE's 2026 Spring/Summer Selection

Starting March 7, 2026, CIBONE in Omotesando will unveil its much-anticipated Spring/Summer selection of furniture and apparel. This season's theme, "emptiness," embodies a philosophy that celebrates the user's creativity and sensitivity. CIBONE aims to acknowledge the varying demands of modern living with strong and thoughtfully crafted products.

CIBONE's offerings feature a diverse range of items that, although distinctly furniture or clothing, converge at the core belief that value is defined by individual interpretation and closure. This philosophy is personified through the modular furniture series "CMPT by Lichen" and the experimental unisex apparel brand "POLYPLOID," both selected to highlight the theme of "emptiness" in their unique ways.

Discover the Modular Appeal of "CMPT by Lichen"

The "CMPT by Lichen" series originates from a collaboration between the New York design studio Lichen and the established Japanese furniture maker Karimu. This series includes the Apple Box, a modular storage solution starting at ¥80,300, alongside the Glass CMPT Table priced at ¥147,400. The modular design allows for a customizable experience, letting users mix and match components to suit their needs. For instance, the Apple Box can function independently as a stool or styled as a side table when paired with the Glass CMPT Table.

In-store displays will feature the CMPT series that highlights versatile configurations, adapting to the user's living space while offering practical solutions for colorful arrangements.

Unveiling "POLYPLOID": Experimental Fashion

Berlin-based brand POLYPLOID draws its name from a scientific term for organisms with multiple sets of chromosomes, symbolizing its innovative approach to fashion. POLYPLOID challenges conventional styles with three different fabrics and colors for a single design, reinforcing the statement: "There are no facts, only interpretations." This aligns seamlessly with CIBONE's theme of emptiness.

The POLYPLOID Mountain Jacket, available in three variations, ranges from ¥69,300 to ¥121,000. This brand pushes the boundaries of clothing structure, embracing a whimsical experimentational essence that oscillates between the ordinary and extraordinary.

Welcoming New Names to the Selection

CIBONE is thrilled to introduce new rising brands such as NOHRA, TANAKA, and Wild Animals. Each line speaks to a narrative of exploration and transformation, echoing the playfulness of a child’s imagination while bridging everyday aesthetics with elements of the surreal.

Additionally, exclusive items will be available under CIBONE’s own label, such as the Share the Fantasy six-panel cap made from luxurious Liberty fabric and Italian cotton. Priced at ¥14,300, it offers a seasonal appeal. Unique collaborations, like the OKI KENICHI × KNOW//MADE bangle at ¥93,500, further illustrate CIBONE's commitment to artistry within fashion.

A Unique Pop-Up Experience

As part of the launch, CIBONE is set to host a pop-up featuring the KNOW//MADE brand, known for their intricate Tuareg silver accessories. Their collaboration with artist OKI KENICHI promises a display of artworks themed around emptiness, enhancing the multifaceted narrative of this collection.

London-based Another Department will also be making its Japanese debut at CIBONE, focusing on products that explore the intersection of art and daily life, described aptly by their Things Change T-shirts at ¥9,900.

CIBONE's selection navigates through each brand and product's distinct perspective, reinforcing a reimagined narrative on the notion of emptiness in both fashion and furniture. This thought-provoking dialogue creates an inviting space for exploration of creativity in everyday life.
