The new product, named the Junkosha® Microwave and Millimeter-Wave Coaxial Cable Assembly 0 series, known as MWX0A5, is designed for precision measurement applications with phase stability. This innovative cable supports signal transmission from DC up to 250 GHz, catering to a broad array of applications, including advanced semiconductor chip development for AI accelerators and measurement in the millimeter-wave and sub-terahertz frequency ranges.

Responding to Increasing Demand for High-Frequency Verification

As the demand for AI data centers and high-speed communication infrastructure expands, the need for precise measurement in high-frequency bands has rapidly increased. To address this requirement, Junkosha has developed a phase-stable cable solution capable of handling up to 250 GHz, ensuring accurate and reliable measurements in high-frequency environments.

Next-Generation Model for High-Frequency Measurement

The MWX0A5 is a result of collaborative development with Keysight Technologies, built upon a completely new design aimed at meeting the demands of modern high-frequency measurement setups. Its precision design structure enables stable performance even in advanced measurement conditions. Additionally, the cable comes with an integrated RF component set, allowing the use of 0.5 mm to 1.0 mm adapters along with the cable. Although DUTs (Devices Under Test) with 0.5 mm interfaces have yet to be standardized, Junkosha's MWX0A5 acts as a crucial component for building next-generation high-frequency measurement systems.

Superior Performance Driven by Unique Technology

Tomohiro Ogawa, Junkosha's Product Manager, commented on the MWX0A5, stating, "This product boasts superior performance compared to traditional cables and waveguides, achieving low signal reflection across the entire frequency range from DC to 250 GHz. Utilizing our proprietary PTFE tape as the dielectric layer, we've realized an impressive insertion loss of about -7 dB at 250 GHz. Furthermore, our exclusive safety lock connector ensures safe, reliable, and reproducible connections."
