Experience 'Tenku Yume Matsuri' at Shibuya Sky
This autumn, from September 1 to September 27, 2026, the spectacular Shibuya Sky will transform into a vibrant stage for the urban festival 'Tenku Yume Matsuri', celebrating the dreams and wishes of the people of Shibuya. This initiative aims to connect the lives of those working and living in the area with the vast sky above, uniting their aspirations in a unique celebration.
The previous iteration of the festival saw over 30,000 participants in the 'Sky of Dreams Corridor', where visitors wrote their dreams on colorful strips of paper, known as tanzaku. This year's event will offer two main attractions that highlight the theme of dreams:
1. The Sky Bon Odori Dance
Taking place on the rooftop 'Sky Stage', the 'Sky Bon Odori' will invite a diverse group of dancers from Shibuya to form a circle and dance together. Each individual’s dreams will be transformed into movement, symbolizing a collective ascent of hopes into the sky. The rhythm of the original Bon Odori, 'Shibuya Scramble Ondo', performed by local drummers, will enliven the atmosphere, complemented by lively performances from Chindonya groups, as the audience immerses themselves in this joyous occasion.

Visitors will have the chance to express their wishes by writing them on tanzaku, which will be elegantly displayed alongside floating sky-colored lanterns.
