2026 Relay For Life of Conejo Valley: A Celebration of Hope

The American Cancer Society is set to launch the 2026 Relay For Life of Conejo Valley on September 19, 2026, from 8 AM to 8 PM at the California Lutheran University Memorial Field in Thousand Oaks, California. This fantastic event is more than just a walk; it signifies a powerful movement aimed at ending cancer as we know it.

This year's Relay will kick off with a non-competitive 5.0K fun run, allowing participants to enjoy a cheerful start to the day. Following this, teams will have representatives walking on the track for a full twelve hours as part of the core relay experience. Teams are encouraged to bring engaging and fun fundraising games to their booths, promoting community participation and support while raising essential funds for the American Cancer Society.

Adding a unique twist to this year's event is the first-ever Car Show, running from 1 PM to 5 PM. Car enthusiasts are invited to showcase their vehicles—whether they're classic cruisers, modern showpieces, or custom builds. Each vehicle entry will earn one raffle ticket, giving participants a chance to win a brand-new JBL Charge 6 Bluetooth Speaker. Additional tickets can be acquired for a $5 donation, enhancing the luck factor!

As part of the Car Show, awards will be given out in various categories, and more details about the judging will be unveiled at the event, making it a thrilling experience for all car lovers involved.

The Relay For Life is also a day to honor cancer survivors, commemorate those who have passed, and unite against this disease. The festivities will include opening ceremonies at 9:30 AM, featuring special laps for survivors and caregivers. The highlight of the evening will be a luminaria ceremony at 7 PM, where illuminated bags honoring individuals affected by cancer will light up the night.

Throughout the day, the atmosphere will be vibrant with carnival activities, local bands providing live entertainment, and food offerings available for donations—all contributing to the fundraising goals.

As Abby Smith, Senior Manager of Events at the American Cancer Society, stated, “The Car Show will add a new twist to this amazing day for all ages. We welcome everyone—survivors, caregivers, or just those looking to make a difference.”
