What is the Kubestronaut Program?
Launched in
March 2024, the
Kubestronaut Program recognizes community leaders who have continuously honed their Kubernetes skills. To obtain the Kubestronaut certification, candidates must pass all five of the following Kubernetes certifications:
- - Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
- - Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
- - Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS)
- - Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate (KCNA)
- - Kubernetes and Cloud Security Associate (KCSA)
These credentials must remain valid, demonstrating the candidate's ongoing commitment to educational growth and industry standards.
Meet Yuki Kawamata
Kawamata, who is part of the SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) division at ThreeShake, has extensive experience in backend development and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) design and operations. Since joining ThreeShake in
November 2024, he has focused on the design and management of container infrastructure centered on Kubernetes, the application of cloud-native technologies, security, and operational improvements. His specialization lies in building and operating reliable platforms using Kubernetes and related technologies.

Kawamata expressed his honor at being named a Kubestronaut, stating, "I am truly grateful for this recognition.
