Get ready for a day filled with fun and learning at the Summer888 1Day Kids Workshop, taking place on August 8, 2026, at the Chuo Ward Nihonbashi Social Education Center. This popular event, now in its fourth year, invites children and their families to immerse themselves in various experiential workshops centered around the themes of play and learning.

Event Highlights

This year's workshop includes a total of 10 engaging sessions designed to stimulate children's intellectual curiosity. Participants can look forward to:

• - Cardboard Creations: Design and build your own maze using cardboard!
• - Sparkly Sand Art: Use colorful, fine sand to create stunning art pieces!
• - Fossil Excavation: Dig and discover real fossils in a thrilling hands-on experience!
• - Railway Diagram Creation: Make your own train schedule and see the trains in action!
• - Beginner’s Shogi: Learn the rules and etiquette of the traditional Japanese board game!
• - Secrets of Medaka Fish: An exciting lesson about cells and biology!
• - Flowery Sharpener: Make a unique flower-themed sharpener using real flowers!
• - Trash to Treasure: Create keychains and star sand charms from ocean debris!
• - Making Soba Noodles: Knead, roll, and cut noodle dough before tasting your homemade soba!
• - Kaleidoscope Art: Craft a light art piece using pearls and natural stones!

This workshop is an excellent opportunity for children to explore their interests, pushing them to express, inquire, and create throughout the day. The hands-on programs are perfect for summer vacation projects or family memories.

Registration is now open! Sign up starting June 14, 2026, at 2:00 PM via the Peatix event application (available on a first-come, first-served basis). Visit this link to secure your spots for the workshops of your choice.

Please remember that registrations are not accepted via in-person visits, phone calls, or fax. Cancellations can be handled through the Peatix messaging system or by contacting the Nihonbashi Social Education Center. Note that all payments are non-refundable, although ticket transfers on Peatix are allowed.
